New York, New York: Food

My Favorite American City (so far)...
Food Chapter

I <3 NYC. Its on t-shirts for a reason.
March 31st - April 1st, 2013. Easter weekend.

Everyone says the best pizza you will ever eat is in NYC, it is so true.
Go to the the pizza place that has no sitting room left and you will be waiting 5 minutes to get a slice, chances are that will be the best pizza you will ever eat. Don't be afraid to try something different.

We went to Bravo Pizza which was a short walk from Bryant Park where you can sit and enjoy your awesome slice. Wish I had a taken a picture of the pizza but it was too delicious to waste time taking a picture.

We ate at Sabrro, more pizza. It was good but not as good as Bravo pizza.

We had lunch at Nathans; Burgers, Fries, Philly Cheese Steaks & a m&m cookie for dessert. Mmmmm...  There are several in NYC, I'd recommend visiting one if you just want some quick fast food. Prices are about average for a fast food place but the quality of the food is a lot better.

DohYO, the restaurant at one of the hotels that we stayed, Yotel. This place takes a lot from the Japanese culture and puts an American spin on things. Since we were on our way to Japan we decided to go for some "Regular" food.
Prices are a little higher for the size of the portion, (except the fries) but it was worth it to just sit and relax out of the busy streets of NYC. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lightly seasoned fries

Mini Burgers and Chicken wings

BBQ ribs

Everything was in small portions great for tasting a little of everything, it was all beautifully  presented and it was delicious.. I finished my meal with homemade ice cream. (Didn't take a picture of that.)

The finally portion of my NYC food blog....

If you are Canadian and are missing home you can even find a Tims in NYC. The people there we very friendly, gave us some free timbits to go with our coffee/tea and donuts. It was prefect to for a chilly evening walk through NYC.

Any other meals were random pizza places that were good but not as good, along with street vendor hot dogs. We didn't eat that much really, we were seeing too much of the city to eat.

If you are going to NYC just enjoy the food.

Everywhere we ate in NYC was an experience worth having
